02
What is the difference between a shadow teacher and a special educator?
A shadow teacher supports the child inside the school day, at the school's invitation. A special educator leads structured learning and routine at home. Many families need one professional for both, and we place for that where the hours allow.
03
Do you provide therapy, assessment or diagnosis?
We provide one therapy: ABA (applied behaviour analysis), with every programme designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, at home, at school, online or at a centre. We do not provide diagnosis, assessment for certification, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychology or medical care; those come from separately qualified professionals, and we coordinate with yours, with your consent.
04
Do you provide ABA therapy?
Yes. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) assesses your child's skills, designs the programme with you, and supervises the trained therapists who deliver it at home, at school, online with parent coaching, or at a centre. Progress is reviewed against measurable goals. See ABA therapy in India for how it works.
05
Does the school have to agree to a shadow teacher?
Yes. We speak to the inclusion coordinator or principal and settle the arrangement in writing before placement.
06
Who engages and pays the professional?
It is set out in writing before any contract is signed. In most placements the family engages the professional directly and we supervise.
07
What does it cost?
A placement fee, a monthly placement-management fee, and per-assignment pricing for tutoring and temporary cover, all quoted on the brief. Nothing is charged before you have met a shortlist.
08
Is there a trial period?
Yes. A paid trial before either side commits, then a replacement guarantee for the period in your agreement.
09
Which languages?
English always. Hindi and the city's regional language where the candidate pool allows.
10
How long does a placement take?
From brief to first day, typically two to six weeks once the school has agreed.
11
Do practitioners pay anything to be placed?
Never.
12
How is my family's information protected?
Held only for the placement, shared only with your consent, and never used for marketing. See our privacy notice.
