The right person, beside your child.
Vetted shadow teachers, special educators and remedial tutors for families across India, coordinated with the school and supported long after the first day.
Some children need more than a good school. They need one calm, qualified adult who understands autism, ADHD, a learning disability, a speech delay or complex needs, who is there every day, and who works with the school, the therapists and the whole family as one team.
That person is hard to find, harder to check, and hardest of all to keep. Special Minds finds them, checks them properly, and stays with the placement.
What we do
Four ways we stand beside a family.
How a placement works
Four beats, one continuous plan.
A placement is not complete when the first day goes well. The same named lead stays with you from the first call to the monthly review.
- 01
Day one
Listen
A private conversation. Your child, their school, what has been tried, what has helped, what has not.
- 02
Week one
Match
A shortlist of two or three candidates whose file, references and interview answers we can show you.
- 03
Weeks two–three
Place
The chosen professional starts, briefed on the plan the school and the family both hold.
- 04
Every month
Review
A written monthly report to the family, a call with the school, and adjustments while the plan is still small.
How we vet
Checked before you ever meet them.
Every professional we introduce has had their qualifications verified with the institution, their identity and work history confirmed, and their references spoken to by phone.
- 01
Qualifications verified
Confirmed with the institution that issued them.
- 02
Identity and work history
Confirmed before any introduction is made.
- 03
References by phone
Spoken to, not just collected.
- 04
Two interviews
One on safeguarding, one on the specific needs of children like yours.

You see the file and the reasoning, not just a name and a number.
Read how we vet
We introduce educators and provide BCBA-supervised ABA therapy. We do not offer diagnosis, speech or occupational therapy, and we say so plainly.
Support by need
One clinical vocabulary, seven starting points.
Every professional we introduce works from the same standard of evidence, whichever door you come in through.
- Autism
- ADHD
- Learning disabilities
- Speech and language delay
- Down syndrome
- Developmental delay and complex needs
- Sensory processing differences
- Dyslexia
- Dysgraphia
- Dyscalculia
- Cerebral palsy
- Intellectual disability
- Selective mutism
- Dyspraxia
- Twice-exceptionality
Don't see your child's picture here? The list is what we work with every week — tell us the situation and we will say honestly whether we can help.
After the first day
Still here in month six.
A placement is not complete when the first day goes well.
- 01We review
The first week, the first month and the first quarter.
- 02We report
To you, monthly, in writing.
- 03We coordinate
With the school's inclusion coordinator and any clinicians you already see.
And if the fit is wrong, we replace the professional under our guarantee.

In their words
Families, schools and practitioners.
Trust builds slowly and one placement at a time. A few voices from each side of the work we do.
The shortlist was three people whose files we could actually read. We picked one, and by the end of the first month our son's teacher was writing us shorter, calmer emails.
We had used agencies before. This was the first time a shadow teacher arrived already briefed on the child, and the first time somebody at the agency answered when we called about the review meeting.
The training didn't just place me. It placed me somewhere the plan was already written, and gave me somebody to ask when I wasn't sure. I have never worked without that safety net again.

Practitioner programme
Most shadow teachers learn on the job, alone.
For practitioners
Training the people who do this work.
Our practitioner programme teaches the craft properly: the core modules online with live sessions, the practical ones in person.
- Online and in person
- Eight cities
- Observed practice
- 01
Reading the plan
A therapist's programme, a school's IEP and a family's priorities, turned into a day.
- 02
Prompting and fading
Helping without doing it for the child, and stepping back on purpose.
- 03
The record
A daily note a clinician can use and a monthly report a parent can read.
- 04
Safeguarding and boundaries
Where the job stops and a therapist's begins.
Seven modules in all, ending in observed practice with an experienced supervisor.
