Learning disability (LD)

A difference in how a child processes reading, writing or numbers that is not explained by intelligence or effort. In India the term covers dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia together, and a certificate from a hospital or psychologist is what schools and boards rely on.
Special Minds does not assess or certify a learning disability. We introduce remedial teachers who work to the report.
