In short

Special Minds introduces vetted special educators with documented experience of autistic children to families in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune and Ahmedabad. The special educator works with your child at home on a fixed timetable: visual schedules and predictable routines, structured learning, communication and play, and the daily carry-over of your speech-language pathologist's, occupational therapist's or behaviour analyst's plan. They do not design or deliver therapy. Candidates are verified, referenced and interviewed twice, and placements are reviewed at one week, thirty and ninety days, with a replacement guarantee.

Families with an autistic child from the early years upward, often soon after a diagnosis from a developmental paediatrician, with therapy a few times a week and long hours in between. Whether in a Mumbai flat or a gated community in Gurugram or Bengaluru, the drive to therapy eats into the day, and the family wants the plan carried on at home by one steady adult.

Should we wait for a formal autism diagnosis before starting?+

Indian paediatric guidance says intervention should start as early as possible and does not need a definitive diagnosis first. A special educator can begin on routines and learning while you complete the assessment with a developmental paediatrician. We do not diagnose.

Is a special educator the same as an ABA therapist?+

No. Applied behaviour analysis is a clinical service designed by a qualified behaviour analyst. A special educator can carry strategies from an ABA plan into the day under the analyst's direction, but does not design or run the programme.

Can the same special educator go with my child to school?+

Often, where the school agrees and the hours work. One familiar adult at home and at school suits many autistic children. We speak to the school before any placement and agree the classroom expectations first.

Can the special educator work in Tamil, Marathi or Hindi?+

Where the candidate pool allows. English is always guaranteed. Tell us the language your child hears most at home, and we confirm fluency before presenting a candidate rather than taking it on trust.
