In short

Special Minds introduces vetted special educators with documented experience of Down syndrome to families across our eight cities. The special educator works with your child at home on a fixed timetable: structured learning broken into small steps, daily routines for dressing, eating and self-help, and the carry-over of your speech-language pathologist's and occupational therapist's plans. Candidates are verified, referenced and interviewed twice. Placements are reviewed on a schedule and carry a replacement guarantee.

Families with a child with Down syndrome, from the early years through school age, who want a steady professional at home who knows how to teach patiently and celebrate small steps, and who can work alongside everyone else in the home.
