Twice-exceptional (2e)
A child who is highly able in some areas and also has a learning disability, ADHD, autism or another difference. Each can hide the other: the ability masks the difficulty, or the difficulty hides the ability. It is a description, not a diagnosis; a clinical psychologist's assessment usually brings both to light.
