In short
Special Minds introduces vetted remedial teachers for children with dyslexia, at home in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune and Ahmedabad, and online anywhere in India. The remedial teacher teaches reading and spelling explicitly, from sounds to letters to words, in short structured sessions that build on each other. They work to the psychologist's report and the school's IEP, and can name the structured programme they were trained in. Every candidate is verified, referenced and interviewed twice. Placements are reviewed at one week, thirty and ninety days and carry a replacement guarantee.
Families whose child in class 1 to 8 reads well below the class, guesses at words, or spells the same word three ways on one page, often in a CBSE or ICSE school where English is the medium and Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu or Tamil is the second language. Many already have a psychologist's report; others are still waiting for an assessment.

Questions
Questions
Can a remedial teacher start before my child has a dyslexia report?+
Yes. Structured teaching helps a struggling reader whether or not a report exists, and Indian paediatric guidance warns against waiting for a child to fail. We would still encourage an assessment with a psychologist, because the school and the board rely on it for accommodations.
Does dyslexia affect Hindi and regional languages too?+
It can. Indian paediatric guidance lists difficulty in all the languages a child is taught, including errors with aksharas and maatras, among the signs worth raising with a professional. Tell us which languages the school teaches and we look for a remedial teacher who can work in them.
How many sessions a week does a child with dyslexia need?+
Usually two to four, short and regular, agreed on the brief and reviewed at thirty days. Frequent short sessions tend to hold better than one long session at the weekend, especially for a younger child.
Is online remedial teaching enough for dyslexia?+
For many children from about class 4 upward, with a well-run session and materials shared beforehand, yes. Younger children and those who need hands-on materials usually do better with a remedial teacher at home. We advise on the brief.
